Learning resources

We produce a broad offering of free material that enables data users, students, policy makers and other stakeholders to enhance their knowledge of space-based monitoring of our planet. Our online training modules, workshops and webinars include topics such as ocean sustainability, data analysis, using AI for Earth observation and many more.

EUMETSAT’s key learning resources comprise:

• MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) covering the topics of monitoring oceans from space, monitoring atmospheric composition, AI for earth monitoring.
• A series of six workshops on data visualisation for Earth observation data, showcasing the use of Copernicus and EUMETSAT data products and services.
• Webinars on the Ocean Decade, focusing on how European initiatives and satellite data can contribute to the UN goals for the sustainable use and protection of our oceans.
• Forecasting innovation – a series of podcasts on the potential impact of technology advances on satellite development and weather, climate and environmental monitoring.
• The EUMETSAT User Portal for technical training and access to satellite data, featuring a selection of both self-paced open learning and courses taught by subject experts.
