This week’s image is of Cyclone Bianca off the west coast of Australia.

The image was captured by one of the Copernicus Sentinel-3 satellites on 23 February 2025.

Cyclone Bianca is the seventh tropical cyclone of Australia’s 2024-2025 cyclone season (November-April). 

The cyclone developed well offshore of the western Australian coast and Christmas Island and at the time the image was captured it was not expected to impact the Australian mainland.

This image was captured by the OLCI instrument on one of the Copernicus Sentinel-3 satellites on 23 February 2025.
