UNOC3 is an action-oriented conference which will focus on accelerating action and mobilising all actors to conserve and sustainably use the ocean. This is in line with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 14, which aims to conserve and sustainably use the planet’s oceans, seas and marine resources.

The event coincides with the tenth anniversary of the Copernicus Marine Service, which will be celebrated by highlighting the instrumental contributions from the Copernicus satellites operated by EUMETSAT.

Throughout the week of 9-13 June, EUMETSAT will contribute to the various engagement activities in the EU Digital Ocean Pavillion, with talks on operational ocean monitoring with satellites, addressing specific topics such as eutrophication, ocean-weather interactions, sea level rise and more.

Furthermore, various use cases, developed by EUMETSAT as part of its engagement in the UN Ocean Decade, will be showcased in the pavillion. The event will be widely covered through our social media channels.
