climate symposium

The symposium will address the opportunities and challenges of extracting actionable information from satellite data to support climate policy and decision-making at local, regional and global levels.

The entire value chain from policy and decision making to climate information providers and space-based measurements will be considered. The results of the workshop will provide space agencies and service providers with pointers for future collaborations and medium- to long-term evolutions.

In particular, the sessions will focus on:

  • Climate policy and socio-economic benefits of climate data;
  • Usage of satellite climate products in applications and their future design;
  • Interaction between research and operations in the joint development of applications;
  • Co-evolution of data access and utilisation.

Through keynote talks, panel discussions, and break-out sessions the event aims to facilitate connections, networking, and collaboration between the participating communities, promoting and fostering partnerships and joint action.

We look forward to welcoming you to Darmstadt to discuss, share insights, and help shape the future of climate data services. Please note that the focus of the symposium content will be Europe.
