Hurricane Ernesto caused flooding and property damage in Puerto Rico leading to power and water outages that affected thousands of residents. It also impacted Bermuda causing property damage, large waves and some flooding and also left thousands without electricity.

Hurricane Ernesto was the fifth named storm and third hurricane of the Atlantic hurricane season.

This image was captured by the OLCI instrument on one of the Copernicus Sentinel-3 satellites on 19 August 2024.
