MSG-4 launch reset to 15 July

Arianespace has announced that the launch date of the MSG-4 satellite from the European Spaceport in Kourou, originally foreseen for 8 July, has been reset to 15 July 2015.

The delay is due to complementary checks carried out the past few days. These have given satisfactory results and launch preparations have been resumed.

MSG-4 is the last of the Meteosat Second Generation satellites resulting from the successful cooperation between EUMETSAT and the European Space Agency (ESA). All MSG satellites are manufactured by a European industry consortium led by Thales Alenia Space.
